The Summer I Turned Pretty series (book 3 is the best)- Belly has gone to the same house every summer for as long as she can remember. She loves the feel of freshly tanned skin, going to the Clam Shack for dinner, and taking midnight swims on the deck pool. But the best thing about Cousins Beach are Beck's boys. Susannah, or Beck, to Belly's mother, is Belly's mom's best friend, who owns the house, and calls Belly her long-lost daughter. Jeremiah and Conrad are her sons, who are best friends with Belly's Brother, Steven. Belly has always been in love with Conrad, and Jeremiah has always been her friend. She always wants to be apart of the boy's activities, but is never invited unless the moms force them to.
It's the last summer before Steve goes to college and Jeremiah goes off to football camp, and Belly wants to make it count.
In the second book, after Susannah dies from cancer that she had been suffering from secretly during the summer. Belly and her mom don't return to the summer house, and Belly is having the worst summer yet, when Jeremiah calls. "Belly, Conrad's missing." he tells her. Belly is forced to slip away from her mother and help Jeremiah drive around looking for him.
The third book, the best one (which I read in about an hour), starts out with Jeremiah's proposal to Belly. They are 19 and in college and Belly accepts. Throughout the book they are planning the wedding, and Conrad is having second thoughts about letting her go.
The third boom in this series is my favorite book in. The. Whole. World. ;)
